I’m going to remind folks often that AI is not helping us. In fact, it is accelerating ecocide and killing us and ALL living things on the planet. Haven’t we done enough damage?
Just one 100-word email uses approximately 1 bottle of water. AI uses obscene amounts of energy, and data centers are placed in poor areas creating even more cumulative environmental injustice impacts to people and a planet already dying. This doesn’t even touch on the fact that peoples jobs are quickly being replaced by AI.
Yes, one person, does make a difference because millions of others may, and should, do the same. If this is too hard for you, ask yourself why you cannot live without AI. Not boycotting AI gives you no room to advocate for human rights or climate change. It is inequitable and inhumane. MAKE GOOD CHOICES 🌍🧑🏽🌾
